Experts say that lighting a home properly helps it sell more quickly. Since the real estate market crash of 2007, nationally, home prices prices dropped about 35%, and in the hardest hit areas, about 55%. According to Forbes, home prices are stabilizing, signifying a housing market bottom. While the news is optimistic, there is still a high inventory of homes. In order to sell your home quickly and get the most money for your home, it is important for your home to look its best, and updating your lighting can go a long way toward improving the look and feel of your home. Here are tips from the pros:
Most new homes built today have high ceilings and, therefore, the space can accommodate a big dramatic fixture. If your home does not have a high ceiling, Quoizel has many beautiful lighting fixtures that will give you that same dramatic effect without requiring a lot of height.
Looking for a dining room fixture, indulge in the Duchess Collection. Classic European elegance for your home with a refined design fit for royalty. This palladian bronze, (5) 100W fixture measures 22 1/2″ H, 24 1/2″ D was introduced in 2005 and is still a best-seller.
The Lighting “Fashion Show Event” hosted by Denis Caldora and Quoizel at Hermitage Lighting was a success. Opening night was a hit with approximately 50 designers and architects in attendance.
Denis’ enthusiasm is contagious and he captivated the attendees updating them on the latest home furnishing trends, how to compete in today’s market and how important lighting is to a home, as Denis says, “how a suit is to a tie, lighting is to a home”.
Denis, along with Hermitage Lighting, transformed the showroom giving it a fresh look displaying and highlighting their beautiful fixtures and accessories. Owner, Jack Fleischer, says the showroom has never looked better!
Quoizel was featured in the April 2012 newsletter American Lighting Association, Bright Ideas. The American Lighting Association is the trade organization of the residential lighting industry in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. It is an honor that American Lighting Association, a highly respected organization in the lighting industry, has highlighted our pendants in this issue.
The Laguna, which is an addition to the Quoizel Naturals Collection, has a renaissance copper finish. It features a mosaic tile stripe, which appears to be floating around a taupe mica shade. The tiles have a coppery shimmer for an added touch of elegance. The natural mica is translucent and the bulbs are shielded with a diffuser casting a flattering warm glow. The pendant’s clean lines and neutral coloration provide a warm and inviting accent making it well suited for any dining area. Here are other pieces from the Laguna Collection.
