Quoizelian Giving Back to the Community

Marilyn Johnston, Credit Analyst/Collector at Quoizel, is currently volunteering her time on her 9th house with Habitat for Humanity Berkeley County

Marilyn, originally a New Yorker, moved to SC when the company’s headquarters relocated to Goose Creek, SC.  It was then that she began volunteering her time with the Habitat for Humanity.  Marilyn, who also volunteers for the Family Services Committee, explains “The prospective homeowner doesn’t just get handed a house.  They must work 350 Sweat Equity Hours at The Restore.  They take classes in finance, small home repairs, energy efficiency, etc.  They also have to pay closing costs and make monthly payments on their mortgage which are interest free.  They are very much involved in the entire process.”

Let Lighting Expand Your Small Space

Just because it is a small space, doesn’t mean it needs to look like it is.  There are ways to decorate your small space so that it looks larger than it really is.

Selecting a bright, contemporary wall light, such as the one featured, will help increase the size of the space visually.

Choose white or bright glossy paint colors as well as mirrors.  Ceiling light fixtures made up of glass and shiny metals, as seen below, can also make the room look larger.

Direct the light of your fixture, floor or table lamp to the ceiling.  Bright well-lit ceilings make the height of the room seem larger.

Welcome to the New York Office

Recently, Quoizel’s Sales and Marketing Management Team met in the New York office for a full day of brainstorming and strategizing.  With the holiday season right around the corner, the 4th quarter initiatives will debut shortly.

On the Road with Howard…

On a beautiful crisp fall day, Howard made his way to Connecticut Lighting Centers!  Family-owned and operated, Connecticut Lighting Centers located in Hartford, CT has been in operation since 1972.

Connecticut Lighting Centers was the first store in the area to commit to the selling of lighting fixtures, table lamps, floor lamps, fans and accessories.  With the success of the business and the philosophy that “the customer is the boss”, they expanded to three beautiful showrooms including Restoration Lighting Gallery to serve the New England area.
