Make the Shortest Day of the Year the Brightest!

The Winter Solstice, or as we say, the first day of Winter is tonight…the shortest day of the year.  With less hours of natural light, it is easy to suffer from the winter blues, which can make you feel tired, sad or moody.  Instead, welcome winter by modifying or adding light to your home.  A simple alteration such as changing a lighting fixture in your kitchen or dining area or adding a table lamp, can really change your mood when coming in from a cold, dreary winter’s day.

Fun Fact… The first Thanksgiving took place at Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1621 with the pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians; it lasted three days!  That’s a lot of eating!!
