The Winter Solstice, or as we say, the first day of Winter is tonight…the shortest day of the year. With less hours of natural light, it is easy to suffer from the winter blues, which can make you feel tired, sad or moody. Instead, welcome winter by modifying or adding light to your home. A simple alteration such as changing a lighting fixture in your kitchen or dining area or adding a table lamp, can really change your mood when coming in from a cold, dreary winter’s day.
Happy Hanukkah! Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, begins at sunset Sunday, December 6th and lasts for eight days ending at nightfall on Monday, December 14th.
