Congratulations to the Award Winners!

We want to give a big “shout out” to two special accounts featured in this month’s Enlightenment magazine!

Each year this magazine honors a few individuals in the lighting industry during the Legends, Leaders & Luminaries awards series. Nominated by their peers, these recipients lead by example, stand out in their field and inspire others.

Joan Kleinberg, founder of Elements at Home and a Legend Retailer according to Enlightenment, has been in the lighting industry for 42 years. Joan along with her son Brian, expanded their Long Island, NY lighting showroom to a “lifestyle” location. Their extremely large showroom had the huge honor of being nominated five times for the ARTS Awards for best Lighting Fixture Manufacturer, and they won the award three times!

And the Awards Go To…

Each year Quoizel celebrates the hard work of their sales team and awards the representatives for their achievements over the past year.  Here is a sampling of the many awards given out last week at the gorgeous Finest Playa Mujeres Hotel & Beach Resort.

Sales Representative of the Year

Congratulations to Bryan Ehrlich on being chosen the 2015 Sales Representative of the Year!

Top Tabloid Seller

Congratulations to Dave Walstad on being chosen the Top Tabloid Seller award for the fifth year in a row!

Bryan Receives Quoizel’s Top Award

Quoizel proudly recognizes the 2015 Sales Representative of the Year – Bryan Ehrlich.  Bryan, who is no stranger to receiving this prestigious award, was also the 2013 Sales Representative of the Year.  In addition to this highly coveted distinction, Bryan was presented with many other awards that evening.

Under the backdrop of the beautiful Finest Playa Mujeres Hotel & Beach Resort in Cancun Mexico, Bryan assumed the honor from the 2014 recipient Patrick Slater.  He also was awarded the Highest Net Profit Dollar, 4 Million Dollar Club and Prebuy Award!

Bringing the Truth to Light…

Peter Cox, Director of Product Development at Quoizel, is spreading the news…however, it’s not about the most recent lighting design or a new line being introduced, rather it’s about his father, Robert J. Cox.  Mr. Cox accompanied by his wife Maud, was recently honored at a state dinner in Argentina with President Obama and the President of Argentina, Mauricio Macri.

President Obama’s trip coincides with the 40th anniversary of the military coup in Argentina, a seven-year long wave of political oppression from 1976-1982 that claimed thousands of lives.  During this time Mr. Cox was the Editor and President of the Buenos Aires Herald covering and reporting the atrocities committed by the military government during the so called “Dirty War” providing the families of those victimized with a necessary outlet.

Back to School Cool…!!

Although a very different story than Rodney Dangerfield’s shenanigans in Back to School, Quoizel’s President & CEO, Rick Seidman, heads to Clemson to further his education!

Rick’s story can be found on Clemson’s MBA website where he is quoted as saying “My MBA experience at Clemson has been a life- changing event.”  He continues to say “My high school and undergraduate college experiences were driven by my desire to achieve high grades to first get into college and then to get a good job with a top firm.  In stark contrast, my reason for going for an MBA was to gain knowledge.”  And gain knowledge he has!  He has also shared and implemented many of the concepts he has learned with his teams at Quoizel.
