It’s Throwback Thursday!

Barnaby Jones and Cagney & Lacey were on TV sets in everyone’s living room, and Bill Murray and Chevy Chase were making us laugh in Caddyshack.  Leg warmers and shoulder pads were all the rage and a 1980’s kitchen had laminated, dark cabinets with formica counter tops.

Boy, have things changed!!  Featured in this 21st Century kitchen is the Kendra Collection.  Seen here are Quoizel’s pendant lights which work well with the recessed lighting.  This Collection comes with many coordinating fixtures such as a 5, 9 and 15-light chandelier, sconces and drum lighting.

It’s Throwback Thursday!!

Table lamps have always been a great gift to give….as well as receive around the holidays.  Back in 1993 these hand-painted porcelain lamps were all the rage!

The lamps were painted in various styles and colors to match every decor.  The base and cap were offered in either a mahogany or polished brass finish.

Today, a great table lamp to give or receive would be from the Glenhaven Collection.  This beautiful lamp, offered also in a floor lamp, features an etched glass shade in a classic Art Nouveau design which is echoed in the sculpting on the base.

It’s Throwback Thursday!!

Back in 2001, Quoizel offered lighted terrariums that were available in three different styles, the Standard Globe, the Mission and the Harmony.  Featured here in a vintage bronze finish, these accent pieces are “a great find” when shopping for a unique piece!

Followers on Quoizel’s facebook page have commented that they have found these terrariums on Ebay as well as estate sales.  Timeless designs then…..and now.

Maybe you have a Quoizel lamp or bath fixture that was handed down to you, bought from an estate sale or an interesting story on how you acquired one of your favorite lamps.  If so, please contact josephinee@quoizel.com.   We would love to share and post it!

It’s Throwback Thursday!

In 1979 Quoizel introduced three lamps that were reproductions of original Turn-of-the-Century carvings.  There was a fireman, ship captain and a fisherman out at sea.

Made of fiberstone, a ceramic-steel composite, these hand-painted lamps with screened linen shades were unique additions to the home.

Look for these Quoizel treasures on E-bay!
