The Season of Giving not Giving Up

Quoizel’s New York office decided to give this Lent and Passover season.  It is customary during the season of Lent to give up something that you enjoy, to fast and prepare spiritually for Easter Sunday.  On Ash Wednesday, co-workers started talking about what they might give up for lent, when it was suggested they give rather than give something up.  Every employee, who wanted to participate, would donate non perishable items during the weeks of lent.

The giving caught on, and the pile of goods grew over the weeks!  Quoizel contacted their local church and outreach center, who stated that surprisingly enough, many of our neighbors were in need and would appreciate any donated items.  They were estatic by the amount of items donated by Quoizel’s employees.Donating Photo

Quoizel’s employees really liked the idea of donating items to their neighbors in need, especially during a time when it’s not customary to donate.  It’s a great idea, and, hopefully, one that will catch on.

Wishing everyone a Happy Passover and a Happy Easter!
