Happy Memorial Day!

Quoizel’s offices will be closed Monday, May 30th in observance of Memorial Day.  They will reopen Tuesday, May 31st at 8:30am (EST).

The unofficial start of summer 2016!!

Did you know…

Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day, a day that was set aside to decorate the graves of fallen Civil War soldiers.

Each Memorial Day, soldiers of the U.S. 3rd infantry place American flags at over 260,000 graves at The Arlington National Cemetery.

American flags should be flown at half mast until noon on Memorial Day, then raised to full staff until sunset.

Where’s Your Beach?

Whether you have a beach house or you want to create that relaxing feeling that a beach might bring to your home, take a look at how Fautt Homes of Alamo, CA brought the seashore indoors.

Using natural elements such as the white rocks and starfish  this Walnut Creek, California condo was transformed into this beautiful oasis. Continuing to gain in popularity, the soft grey walls give a chic and stylish look to this bathroom, and the skylight, plant and mirror make this space look fresh and tranquil.

Will Your Lighting Hold Up in Wet & Damp Locations?

If they are Quoizel fixtures, they will!

It’s been a rainy Spring in many areas across the country, and with summer thunderstorms on the way, it’s reassuring to know that your outdoor fixtures can handle the unpredictable weather. Fortunately, many of Quoizel’s outdoor lighting fixtures are made for “wet” locations.

A “wet” location is in direct contact with earth and subject to saturation with water.

New for 2016, is the Booker outdoor collection. This “wet” collection has a fresh and charming style while still being durable. The Mystic Black finish, seedy glass and vintage bulb all come together to create the perfect fixture for outside your home.

Congratulations to the Award Winners!

We want to give a big “shout out” to two special accounts featured in this month’s Enlightenment magazine!

Each year this magazine honors a few individuals in the lighting industry during the Legends, Leaders & Luminaries awards series. Nominated by their peers, these recipients lead by example, stand out in their field and inspire others.

Joan Kleinberg, founder of Elements at Home and a Legend Retailer according to Enlightenment, has been in the lighting industry for 42 years. Joan along with her son Brian, expanded their Long Island, NY lighting showroom to a “lifestyle” location. Their extremely large showroom had the huge honor of being nominated five times for the ARTS Awards for best Lighting Fixture Manufacturer, and they won the award three times!

And the Awards Go To…

Each year Quoizel celebrates the hard work of their sales team and awards the representatives for their achievements over the past year.  Here is a sampling of the many awards given out last week at the gorgeous Finest Playa Mujeres Hotel & Beach Resort.
