Put Yourself in Your Guests’ Shoes

With the holidays upon us, take a look at what your guests will experience when they arrive at your doorstep! Put yourself in their shoes from the time they enter your home to preparation of the meal, dining, resting to relaxing by the fire.

You want your guests to arrive safely to your door with a well-lit path.  This classic Arts & Crafts style goes well with traditional, transitional and contemporary decors. The translucent linen glass softens the light, reducing glare and hot spots.  The Hillcrest Collection is offered in flush mount, hanging, post and several lantern sizes to meet all your lighting outdoor needs.

Hermitage Keeping it Fresh

For over 60 years Hermitage has been providing the best creativity in design and service while offering excellent lighting solutions to their clients.  Always wanting to be on the cutting edge and better serve their customers, they recently updated their displays.

Kirk Marshall, the Quoizel sales representative who covers portions of the Southeast region, traded in his laptop for a hammer and nails.  He spent a few days at Hermitage helping construct new bath and outdoor displays featuring the Bradley, Stonington, Hollister, Melody and Pacifica Collections to name a few.

Additional Pieces Added to Sergio’s Uptown Collection

Sergio Orozco says “Uptown is a journey of discovery of art, design, architecture and lighting…luminaires that are destined to become tomorrow’s heirlooms”.

Exceptional chandeliers, sconces and bath fixtures were recently introduced at January’s Dallas Market adding to the very successful Uptown Collection which captures the eclectic fashion pulse witnessed on the streets of New York City!

New Uptown Collections include the Carnegie Collection which is a mix of a contemporary and nostalgic-inspired design.  The exposed vintage bulbs add an elegant touch and highlight the western bronze finish perfectly.  The Carnegie Collection is available in a 3, 6 or 8-light.

It’s Throwback Thursday!!

In the 1950’s Sunset Boulevard and Cinderella were playing on the big screen.  Families were moving out to the suburbs and kids watched Howdy Doody on 12 inch black and white TV sets.  The median family income was $3,300 a year, and milk was still delivered to the doorstep.

Here’s a look at a 1950’s bathroom…no pampering going on here!!

There’s no comparison to today’s bathroom which is not only functional but a room you want to go in and never leave!

This gorgeous contemporary bathroom which was designed by Divine Kitchens is cool, sleek and has sophistication written all over it!  This bathroom recently seen on Houzz, features Quoizel’s Downtown Collection.    Gleaming glass ball accents complement the opal etched glass drum shade and shiny chrome finish, bringing a soft modern sensibility to your home.

Instant Holiday Makeover!

The holidays are fast approaching and there is no time for big renovations.  However, here are a few of Quoizel’s popular items that can change the feel of a room in time for your guests to arrive.

The featured mirror is classic European elegance with its refined design fit for royalty.  The hand-forged iron is twisted into graceful curves and can easily transform any foyer, hallway, bathroom or bedroom.  The matching bath fixture celebrates the beauty of light with its warm graduation of color.  This fixture can be mounted as an uplight or downlight and is part of Quoizel’s very popular Duchess Collection.
