Is a DIY Bath Renovation for You?

A DIY bathroom project… Not an easy task but well worth it!

Tracey and her husband tackled a do-it-yourself project and survived the trials and tribulations of converting a 10×13 bedroom into a bathroom.

The original bedroom had gray walls and one window. Wanting to go with natural earth tones, they started looking for counter tops and cabinets with browns and grays in them. They decided on almond cabinets highlighted with gray and a marble “River Bottom” counter top that included browns and grays.

Is it Bath Time Yet?

Summer is coming to a close, and the holidays are not too far behind.  Now is a great time to start thinking about bath renovations before entertaining guests for the upcoming holidays.

The right lighting can make even the smallest bathrooms seem bigger, brighter and better, and whether it’s a minor update or a major bath remodel, Quoizel offers lighting for every budget.  From contemporary, nautical, elegant, traditional or Victorian, there is such a wide selection to choose from to compliment your unique decorating style.

Powder Room Favorites…

Today’s bathroom has evolved into a private retreat for relaxation, escape and self-indulgence.  Renovating your bathroom not only adds value to your home but it will help create the spa-like oasis you desire. Updating your lighting is an economical way to refresh this space, and the right lighting can make your bathroom go from blah to brilliant!

Introduced in 2014, the Evermore is part of Quoizel’s Platinum Collection.  This collection offers a resplendent design of glamour and glitz. The abundance of multi-faceted crystals is enhanced by the polished chrome finish and the supplied clear xenon bulbs showcase the sparkle of this sleek series.  It’s a fixture your guests will see as soon as they walk into the powder room!

The Colors of the Season

The holiday season brings with it a beautiful kaleidoscope of colors.  Greens, blues, reds and shimmering gold and silver are what come to mind when we think of decorating for the holidays.

This beautiful Larissa Tiffany features a handcrafted, genuine art glass shade created in rich jewel tones as well as soft pastels. This traditional and elegant lamp will compliment your holiday lights while reflecting the hundreds of mosaic colored glass.

Just like the runway or dressing for a holiday affair, sequins, beading and sparkle will create a cheerful and festive look.  The key is for the look to be classy and chic not flashy or gaudy.

It’s Throwback Thursday!!

In the 1950’s Sunset Boulevard and Cinderella were playing on the big screen.  Families were moving out to the suburbs and kids watched Howdy Doody on 12 inch black and white TV sets.  The median family income was $3,300 a year, and milk was still delivered to the doorstep.

Here’s a look at a 1950’s bathroom…no pampering going on here!!

There’s no comparison to today’s bathroom which is not only functional but a room you want to go in and never leave!

This gorgeous contemporary bathroom which was designed by Divine Kitchens is cool, sleek and has sophistication written all over it!  This bathroom recently seen on Houzz, features Quoizel’s Downtown Collection.    Gleaming glass ball accents complement the opal etched glass drum shade and shiny chrome finish, bringing a soft modern sensibility to your home.
