Current Trends In Lighting

The interview between host JD Roberto of The Better Show and Editor Samantha Hart of Better Homes and Gardens  on current lighting trends was informative and well worth examining. We thought it might be interesting to match up Quoizel’s products with the current trends they highlighted.

A huge trend right now is geometric lighting including sharp lines and clean edges in a very modern design. What’s great about geometric fixtures is the modern design can also be brought into a traditional setting creating a striking visual interest. Quoizel’s Carnegie chandelier, from the Uptown Collection, has a beautiful, modern design with some added elegance from the exposed vintage bulbs. Introduced in 2013, it is a mix of a contemporary and nostalgic-inspired design.

Dreamier Bathroom Lighting

From a design perspective, we know that the bathroom isn’t always the most exciting, glamorous room of the house—especially not when there are far more elegant rooms like the dining room, family room and kitchen to compete with. After all, those are the areas that usually get the fancy light fixtures, rugs and furniture. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t things that can be done to liven your bathroom space up a little bit. While there’s not usually anything particularly luxurious about a bathroom ceiling light, there are lighting options available out there that can make them a little more exciting. These options include dimmers, chandeliers and decorative wall sconces, low lights and high lights.

Vetreo is Here!

Quoizel’s got a great new product that we want to showcase–check it out!

Introducing Vetreo!    An innovative product Vetreo tile vanity lighting combines the elegance and symmetry of glass tile with the smart and green technology of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs).  LEDs are helping make Quoizel greener.  During the day they’ll keep your room well lit, and at night they’ll drop down to very low, soft lighting.  This is a new type of environmentally friendly lighting, and it can save you up to 85% of your electricity used by your lighting.  And all Vetreo tile vanity lights comes with a built in flip-switch so that you can adapt you lighting to your mood, as well as time of day.

Creating the Best Bathroom Lighting

Creating lighting for a bathroom is different from that of any other room.  Your goal is to have light that shines out and up the walls, as opposed to down from the ceilings, and ultimately to minimize that shadows cast on your face, surrounding it instead with light.

Sadly, when it often comes to interior lighting, the bathroom is commonly given less attention than other areas in a home.  People tend to forget that bathrooms are a place to relax and recharge, and opt for a do-all single ceiling fixture.
