This elegant angel fish is sure to brighten up someone’s holiday. The Tiffany animal is hand-assembled using the copper foil technique developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany.  The light reflects off the stained glass giving off a softening glow.

Part of the Dury Collection this traditional beautiful semi-flush is European in design yet versatile in appeal. The crisscrossed bands add visual interest and the century silver leaf finish is sure to compliment all types of décor styles.  With only 14 1/2 inches in height, this semi-flush works well with different ceiling heights.

This Homeowner is Ready for the Holidays…are you?

With the holiday’s right around the corner, it’s a great time for this Bergen, NJ homeowner to show off their beautiful new renovations!

Designer, Emily Wallach, transformed these uninteresting rooms into a place that is both dramatic and breathtaking.  A Parsons educated Interior Designer, Wallach says whether a living space is 250 or 10,000 sq ft, we all just want to feel proud of the place we call home, and every space should provide the essence of living well.

Featured is Quoizel’s Voyager light fixture.   This fixture which was supplied by Lamp & Shade Works in Sewell, NJ has an elegant look that is influenced by Moorish, Spanish and Gothic styles. The intricate metal scroll work is made of hand-forged iron and the stunning malaga finish completes the design of this stately piece.  This three-tier light adds an impressive statement to the room.

Three is Not a Crowd!

Ever notice that architecture, landscaping and objects that appear in threes are more memorable.  In fact they are more appealing and effective than other numbers of objects.

Two of the same object simply means two. Three, of the same kind of object instantly means collection without looking cluttered.

The rearrangement of a grouping of threes can entirely alter the flow and aesthetic of a room. This holds true especially in design and specifically in home accessories and lighting.

This charming kitchen was provided by Webster Interiors, located in Webster, NY.  Their design inspiration has always been tailored to the individual style of their clients.  The three combination features Quoizel’s Steadman Collection.  This traditional mini pendant gives the exterior of your home both beauty and an industrial sense of design.  It features a vintage bulb for an historic look and is enhanced by the clear seedy glass.

Is it Corridor or Hallway?

Webster says… Corridor ~ a long passage inside a building with doors on each side & Hallway ~ a long narrow passage inside a building with doors along it leading to rooms.

Whatever you want to call it, for safety reasons you want good lighting.  If your hallway is not well-lit, trips to the kitchen or bathroom in the middle of the night can end in tripping or falling.  In order to safely light up this area, a fixture should be installed every 8 to 10 feet.

The main hallway is where visitors will get their first impression of your home so you want your lighting to create a warm and welcoming effect.  With so many beautiful semi-flush, flush mounts and wall sconces available, why not make this part of your home as stunning as the other rooms in your home.
