Don’t Be Left Out in the Dark!

Daylight Savings Time officially ends this Sunday, November 1st at 2:00am.  Don’t forget to change your clock back one hour this weekend as we return to Standard Time.  This will mean lighter mornings and an extra hour in bed this weekend!

It also means darker evenings…so don’t forget to change the timers on your outdoor fixtures.  Coming home to a welcoming light will ensure you and your guests enter your home safely.

Quoizel offers a wide variety of outdoor fixtures in many sizes and finishes to accommodate your outdoor lighting needs.  Here are some photos from some our loyal customers.

Don’t Overlook Your Lighting When Selling your Home!

Americans are spending again, and that’s a good sign for the economy.  After the recession in 2008, people cut back heavily on their purchases.  As more people are finding jobs and incomes have been slowing rising, this trend translates to an increase in consumer spending which is good news for the auto and housing industries. If you’re about to put your house on the market, you’re probably wondering, “How much can I get for it?” Selling your home requires a keen eye to make it appeal to a wide audience. It’s careful planning and knowing how to spruce up your home that will get you the most money for your home. There are a lot of things that affect potential buyers when they are taking a tour of your home.  Poor lighting can make a home look dingy and dirty.  Here are a few tips to help your home look bright and marketable:

It’s Not Over Yet!!

Summer is not over yet, and if you’re like me, you want to enjoy every minute of it!

Whether it’s inviting guests over for a bbq or sitting on the front porch, a well-lit front entrance enables you to greet guests and enjoy the outdoors after the sun goes down. Wall lanterns on each side of the door will give your home a warm, welcoming feel and a matching post light will help to illuminate the walk while giving your home a finished look.

Investing in a quality product built for function while choosing the right outdoor light for your home’s architecture is key.  Quoizel offers such a wide variety of outdoor collections to match all different style homes.

First Impressions…

We only get one shot at making a good first impression!  When guests pull up to your home, what’s the first thing they see?  Lighting, of course.

Part of making beautiful outdoor spaces is creating memorable entrances and exits.  You can illuminate the path to your front door plus welcome visitors in style with a decorative lantern perfectly suited to complement your home’s exterior.

Look to Quoizel’s Devon Outdoor Collection to keep your home safe while stylish.  This transitional style with clear, beveled glass blends well with almost every decor and will give your home that great first impression you are looking for.  With seven coordinating pieces in a wide variety of sizes, this collection will give you the most appropriate light so that you can enjoy your patio, garden, yard or deck after the sun goes down.

Outdoor Living at its Finest

Outdoor Living is a relatively new and rapidly growing lifestyle phenomenon. What is Outdoor Living? It no longer means just a few folding chairs, a picnic table and a hibachi.  The ideal Outdoor Living environment is creating a space with the same comforts and function as being inside the home.

HartmanBaldwin Design/Build , a fully integrated architecture, construction and interior design company, created this outdoor oasis.  Creating a space that was conducive for play and entertainment, HartmanBaldwin went to great lengths to make sure the cabana design complemented and acted as an extension to the original home’s Mediterranean style and architecture.
