What’s Cool this Summer at Quoizel

InternsWelcome back intern, Marie-Catherine! Marie-Catherine along with fellow intern Casey Keller are giving more than a hand in the Design Department this summer.  This is Marie-Catherine’s 3rd year with Quoizel, whose Ariella Collection was introduced at January 2013 Dallas Market.  Casey, who like Marie-Catherine, is  from Purdue University, is starting his first year with Quoizel.

Samantha Mann, from Coastal CarolinaIntern University, is working as an intern in the Advertising Department where she just recently published Quoizel’s first employee newsletter. Samantha is also working on special projects within the department.

CharlieKatzSummer means teenagers are home from school, and what better way to keep them busy then have them working and earning some extra money.  Karen Katz, sales representative for New England, has her son Charlie assembling lighting fixtures in various showrooms in her territory.  Charlie, who is 15 and going into his sophomore year at Westborough High School, has also been helping Karen with displays this summer when he is not lifeguarding.  Charlie is no stranger to lighting as his grandparents once owned a lighting store in New Jersey, The Lighting Showroom.  Back when Charlie was six, he would walk around his grandparent’s store to make sure that every item had a hang tag on it, dust the portables and move boxes.  This photo was taken at Ferguson Newton Highlands location, where lucky enough Charlie was working during their weekly “Fire up the Barbeque Day”.  Overall not a bad day’s work…burgers, hot dogs, reminiscing, earning some extra money and spending some time with his mom…priceless!

Summer also means that Kirk Marshall is back on the water, although we don’t think he actually takes a break from it!  Kirk, a sales representative for Quoizel lives in Destin, FL so Kirkthere really are no breaks from the sun and fun.  During the summer months Kirk, who has his captain’s license, charters many lighting customers who come down to Destin, a popular vacation destination, for some rest and relaxation as well as some good fishing. Kirk is more than happy to oblige!  Ayo Captain Kirk!Kirk1
