It’s Throwback Thursday!

With Spring finally here, your family and guests will be enjoying the outdoor weather.  It’s a great time to step back and look at your home.  Does it seem like you have been zapped back to the 1970’s?

Although some of today’s homes are modern and beautiful, older homes offer a lot of charm and beauty.  You’d be surprised what a coat of paint, garden flowers and updated outdoor lighting can do to freshen and spruce up a home!

Featured here is Quoizel’s Harmony Collection. This clean design has minimal ornamentation and pure lines, giving it a peaceful Zen-like appeal. The soft glow and texture of the linen glass adds a special warmth to the exterior of your home.  This fixture is also available with energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs and is Title 24 compliant.

Quoizel’s Office Closed on Friday

Quoizel’s office will be closed on Friday, April 18th for the Easter holiday.  They will reopen at 8:30am (EST) on Monday, April 21st.

Wishing all who celebrate a very Happy Easter!

Is it Corridor or Hallway?

Webster says… Corridor ~ a long passage inside a building with doors on each side & Hallway ~ a long narrow passage inside a building with doors along it leading to rooms.

Whatever you want to call it, for safety reasons you want good lighting.  If your hallway is not well-lit, trips to the kitchen or bathroom in the middle of the night can end in tripping or falling.  In order to safely light up this area, a fixture should be installed every 8 to 10 feet.

The main hallway is where visitors will get their first impression of your home so you want your lighting to create a warm and welcoming effect.  With so many beautiful semi-flush, flush mounts and wall sconces available, why not make this part of your home as stunning as the other rooms in your home.

Quoizel Featured in Better Homes and Gardens “Lighting”

Better Homes and Gardens “Lighting” annual magazine is on newsstands now!  This is the 8th year that the lighting industry has partnered with Meredith Publishing, and it is the industry’s only national consumer publication.  This long-awaited, prestigious magazine is filled with great lighting, articles and setting shots.

Quoizel’s full-page ad is opposite the “Letter from the Editor” featuring the very popular Pomez table lamp.   Made with genuine agate stones, this lamp provides a twist on traditional Tiffany materials.  Each agate stone is hand-selected for quality and size and is hand made by skilled craftsmen.  The gentle scroll work and classic Tiffany-style shades above the dining room table are part of the Asheville Collection, and the beautiful wrought iron sconces from the Yuma Collection complete the look of this gorgeous shot.

Dale from Whitmer’s is Flying High!

Last week Dale Smerglia from Whitmer’s was “racking” up his frequent flyer miles…

Whitmer’s has two very successful showrooms in Akron & North Olmsted, OH, and Dale wanted new inspiration on how to merchandise his product to better serve his customers.  Luckily enough Dale knows people in high places. Quoizel’s own Alan Katz was his tour guide on and off the ground.

After visiting several New England showrooms, Dale and Alan made their way to Republic Airport where they met Howard Greenberg.  From there they toured Long Island and New Jersey locations.  Dale left with several great ideas while receiving “first class” treatment from his whirlwind adventure.
